Hey everyone! I haven't been around lately, summer was good to mama, and I took some time off to have some RL fun! But I've been in Photoshop more than I'd like to admit lately, and I've made some awesome stuff! Or at least I like it! I have 9 new Halloween skins and 9 new everyday makeups, in 4 different skin tones for everyone that asked! I also have a bunch of cute colorful clothes! Just cuz it's Fall doesn't mean you have to be drab! I also bought a 1/4 sim, in the old Kindly (awww le weep) and I'm currently building the main stores! Next week I will be having a HUGE event, with lots of Freebies and fun! And everyone is invited! Look for the blog and group notices for dates and times! Spring cleaning!!

So, I did it.

I finally took all the pics and made all the vendors for the new skins and put them for sale in my store! They look faboo! Here are my personal favorites...

Berta’s 8 Random Facts

I have never touched a single illegal drug in my life. No, I don't want to just "try it". No, I don't wonder what I'm missing out on. No, I don't feel like I'm missing out.
When I was a youngin' I was a professional dancer/choreographer. My mom put me in ballet so I would stop climbing trees and start wearing dresses. It progressed to jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, contemporary and hip hop. Then numerous jobs in studios teaching kids from 3 to adults in their 50s. I once dreamed about dancing on Broadway.
Despite living in Georgia for about a year, I have yet to set down any roots other than signing a lease. My car, drivers license and insurance are all still valid in California. It's my one hope that I'll move back soon.
I have a tattoo on the back of my neck. It's a heart, which means love and a crown that represents loyalty (kind of like a cross between a Claddagh and a Sacred Heart) and and it says "Ohana" which means family in Hawaiian. My best friend and I got matching ones when we saved up and ran away to Hawaii for a week in 03. It's a reminder of our friendship and love for each other and our families. She's been there for me for so long she's pretty much family now.
I have a small Jewish Jack Russell/Dachshund mutt named Scarlet. Living in the South most people who meet here assume shes named after Scarlet O'Hara, but she's not! She's originally from Beverly Hills and was named after Scarlett Johanssen cuz my ex boyfriend was in love with her at the time. Make sure you wish her a Happy Hanukkah!
I was accepted to Fashion School and dropped out before I even went. To save money I was taking basic GenEd classes at a small local college, working towards transferring. 2 semesters in, I realized I HATED college and needed a break and dropped out and went to beauty school so I'd have a decent job when I finally went back to school. I loved hair so much, I just never went back.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love everything about it, hot cider, Christmas lights, decorating the tree, making cookies and fudge. I honestly believe listening to Christmas music half way through the year, helps it come faster. I've ever tried to have a "Christmas in July" party, but none of my friends were into it. This year I'm getting a White Christmas and I'm so excited!
Despite not being married, I am a TOTAL HOUSEWIFE. All of my friends call me "Martha Stewart". In fact I even subscribe to her magazine. I have way to many household goods and cooking accessories for a normal 26 year old girl. I love to cook, bake, and be a hostess and I LOVE to clean the kitchen! I LOVE the smell of pine sol, I use it to clean everything. It's a sickness I think. This is my OCD.

October is going to be a great month

So maybe you heard about this little store Paulie Tamale and myself are working on. He's been whoring it out in Tableau, throwing impromptu dance parties and giving away freebies, and I've been Flickrhumping the heck out of it in various SL flickr groups.

Granted Paulie didn't have a fall line to finish or a SUPER SECRET project in the works, but he's managed to churn out like 10 thousand more hairs than I have. It also probably doesn't help that my hairs are like 100+ prims and he' got that low prim awesomeness down, but I digress.

I say October is going to be a great month, because thats where I see COIF feasibly opening. It's not so much that we don't have a product, we just don't have the product retextured into 15 different colors, packaged in folders, photo shoots booked, vendor snaps taken, photoshopped the hell out of and then put together so all you lil lovelies can buy til your hearts content. I also don't want to be the next Armidi, but after this venture, I can see how pushing back the date can look like sweet nectar from the teats of Romulus.

So bare with us. IM us. Hassle us. It will be open soon. We already got a store. Just get excited.

Last night was Briar Bellambi and EffinPun Goff's housewarming party, which was pretty awesome and Briar is CONSTANTLY impressing me with her prefab builds (check her out - she might be the next Barnes!?)

So, the normal fashion/builder people were there, Colleen DesMoulins of The Loft, Gianna Broda of Cashmere, Sofia Gray Lacoste Model extraordinare... and then.. THE LU SISTERS made an appearance...

That's right, Ava, Cora and Prue Lu all stopped by to say hello and check out the house and the scene, and then promptly IMed me to let me know she loved my look and wanted to know if I would be interested in modeling for the new Paper Couture runway show. (OMG!!!!!!!) Then told me she liked my "j'dore" dress, loved the back and it was fabulous. And then I died. The End.

So.. coupl'a things folks.

1. I have been working uber hard in PS all week. Yay! New collection coming out for June, just in time for summer. I'm calling it the Imogen Collection and naming everything after the girls I adore so dearly. Bathing suits, summer dresses, and new mens wear. Fun Fun!

2. A few days ago I was getting schooled by Barnes on "sculpties" and I met Moo Money. She said something to the effect of "Hey you own love.love.love right?" and then she blogged about me and my store in her blog here.

3. Just now, in my Imogen "office" Lionila Lightfoot of the AvaStar walked in and asked me for an interview. She knew about me from Catero and the piece she did on our house for this months issue. Check it out, it's kind of cute. :D

4. What is with all this awesome press? Yay me. If you wanna blog/interview me, IM me and I'll send you a press kit. lol. shameless free items for plugs.

SO! I've been making some decent moolah, making my trip worthwhile. Thank God. Haven't really found any decent internet, besides at work to be able to log into anything to update. New pics on flickr, and I've been working on some new mens clothes! Very exciting! When I get back home, I'm going to work on a summer line, more shorts, tops, suits and maybe some summer dresses! Keep me motivated people.

My dog peed on my roommates bed last night, making the territory shes been trying to get at all week. SOMEONE left the door open, presumably another roommate who isn't talking. So now I have a $200 down duvet to dry clean. Huzzah! I am also slightly scared about leaving the dog along with the roommates for a whole week. I will probably talk to the downstairs one about making sure she gets fed and taken outside to "do her business". The dog, not the roommates.

Cat and I worked in Photoshop a little bit last night, I'm trying to change my blog around a bit. I'm soooveryclose to finishing it, but I was drunk last night.

Today is the wedding. I am both looking forward and NOT looking forward to it. I don't really wanna stand up in front of everyone and smile for an hour, and get pictures taken. I am also doing a gaggle of bridesmaids hair. I'm going to guess this is for free. I wish I did something people couldn't use me for. Like.. well, I really can't think of anything. Any thoughts?

stormtastic update of my life!

We are having our first ever storm in the new house! Puppy is very scared and is barking incessantly at the sky, but the smell of fresh rain on the streets and in the air is good enough for me. The thunder is echoing though the park, and that reminds me... As soon as I find and unpack my camera, I'll take some snaps of the house and the area.

Last night I put in a FULL HEAD of long blonde "rollerskating robot barbie mermaid princess" extensions into my friends hair, for her wedding tomorrow. I am a bridesmaid.

I go to LA to work on Monday. until Sunday. My mom is driving up her camper to visit me Mon-Wed. I will be working on new clothes for release when I get back in world the following MONDAY! If anyone is in the area and wants to hang... find a way to get a hold of me.

The internet/cable/phone should be installed while I am away. Which means less crashing! I am working on that damn waterfall still, and my "office" in Imogen. Come stop by and say hello.

I wish I had someone tall dark and handsome to enjoy this with.

I realize, after unpacking the majority of my belongings into my fabulous new house, that I prefer living alone. It's not that I don't like my roommates, I do. It's just that I like living by myself more. It's just going to take some getting used to I suppose. Funny thing is, I hardly see them. They all either have jobs where they work late, or go out after, or they have boyfriends. So it's more like living with 3 tiny house elves who make messes and forget to clean them. Also, those house elves use your things without asking, and forget to give you money for the special fat free milk you bought them, eat all you special expensive food and forget to invite you out on the town with them, and you sit at home... crashing on SL all night trying to make a damn waterfall for a boy who clearly likes you, yet can't commit to the title. And then they tell each other you are anti-social and you hear about it from another friend whom they tell YOU is anti-social. Which you are clearly not, as you have many more friends than they.
